Briefly, standards compliant web design insures your site will look and perform as expected on numerous different web browsers on any platform, using standards like DHTML (html combined with CSS and javascript). I do not create, endorse or recommend sites created completely in Adobe's Flash. Don't get me wrong, Flash can be utilized on any site, however it should not be a substitute for HTML and CSS. Why? For a number of reasons, but first and foremost is SEO (search engine optimization). It is painstakingly difficult to achieve a high ranking amongst search engines when your site is created solely in Flash. Search Engines just won't find it, and what good is a site if it can't be found? I challenge anyone to create a site in Flash and obtain better search engine results than a site created without.
